  • For Food: Ladybugs will usually group together when there is a ample supply of food!! One of their favourite foods are aphids and rose flower are know to have green aphids feeding on the stem underneath the flower!! So if you notice a large number of ladybugs in this area it’s highly likely they are eat the aphids.
  • Overwinter: Once temperatures start to drop, ladybugs will seek out places to huddle together for warmth. They often congregate in large numbers on the south-facing side of buildings, where they can take advantage of the sun’s heat during the winter months.
  • Mating Season: Every spring, ladybugs across the country come together to mate. For ladybugs, this is a crucial time of year, as their survival depends on reproduction. The process begins when the males arrive at gathering spots, where they emit pheromones to attract females.
